Iron Man As this line has matured, this version of Iron Man does not hold up well to current offerings. His taking-off look works well but the biggest problem is the face. The smiling robot faceplate with human eyes is disjointing. The repulsor hand is a nice touch. An okay figure, but is hurt by the newer offerings of the line. C
Thor I really dislike this figure. The sculpt feels too soft, instead of being ripped, Thor comes off as flubby. He's doing that annoying pointing stance. His paint applications are the most lacking of the offerings, especially when compared to the TRU Avengers one. This figure doesn't mesh with the style of the line in terms of details but he's still recognizable as Thor. D-

Overall, I really like this pack, one of my first.
I love the shiny paint application on Ironman. I like the classic pose: one hand open, the other clenched, both on articulated arms. A LOT of SHS figures use this pose because it's so versatile. This is one of my only Ironman SHS and I like it a lot. As for the somewhat goofy look on his mask, I think it's fitting for the SHS line. A-.
Overall, I like Thor too. Very classic costume and I like how chunky and robust the figure feels. Admittedly, the pose is a bit awkward. Both arms are articulated, but with either arm, the outcomes are a bit strange. The "finger" arm is either pointing at someone (kinda cheesey) or doing a "we're-#1" (even cheesier). The hammer looks odd in any pose other than verticle, IMO. B.

Iron Man Iron Man's expression looks downright weird. I do not really care much for this figure. At least he has a good pose. D
Thor Thor feels too fat for me. That pointing stance gets on my nerves sometimes. His costume is okay. But his cape limits his waist articaltion. And why is Thor smiling since when does he smile. Thor just feels like a waste to me. F
Note: As far as this two pack goes this one is not very good.

As an Avengers themed two-pack, pairing Iron Man and Thor together makes a fair amount of sense. Both are founding members and all, but both figures have odd stylistic choices that don’t seem to make sense. At the end of the day, better versions of both figures have been released and those are the ones worth tracking down. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=2015
