Venom Classic Venom (you can tell from the lack of tongue) is huge. Clean paint applications and sheer size make him a fun figure. He may be a little too big, but for a villain I like the sheer bulk of the figure. His arm articulation is more than adequate but some may feel the detail on the character is too soft. Overall, I still prefer the version released in the Spider-Man wave but he's much harder to find. B+
Spider-Man Part of me is glad Hasbro made a new Spider-Man for this set but there's one huge problem. The wash on this character is terrible. The idea isn't as bad, it should provide a better way to get those little lines. It doesn't work (in fact my Spider-Man had immobile arms, both snapped off). I like the stance but hate the eyes on the head. The figure is clearly an attempt at making a more comic-accurate version, but it fails. F, if yours has a good wash and working arms, he's passable, but nothing great.

Venom is a great figure that does a fine job of showing off his original appearance but without the tongue, he just doesn’t look right. As for Spider-Man, getting two of the same figure with issues that make him broken isn’t fun. Bad paint and horrendous quality control ruin this pack so buyer beware when grabbing this one.
