Wolverine looks smug. He also looks like he got thrown into a wall. He's neckless! On his own, he's nothing exciting. The other brown suit version is better but where this one excels is that he can do the fastball special! B (but only when with Colossus from this set)
Colossus got so much better with this release over the first one. He's bigger and bulkier. His hand can hold Wolverine and that's awesome. Best version of the character available and the ability to have him hold Wolverine makes him awesome. A
Emma Frost is excellent as well. While I prefer her modern look more (like the diamond select figure). She could be more curvy but it's a kids' line. A good representation of her earlier look. My biggest complaint: the lips should be slivery. A
Magneto is fine (though this showdown is horribly one sided, Colossus and Wolverine can't touch him and he's telepathically blocked from Emma). I prefer the first version of Magneto, this one's face seems off. Like he's scared. Magneto's never scared! Easily the weakest figure in the set, but this is an EXCELLENT set. B

This 4-pack was my very first set of SHS figures! All in all, this 4-pack is quite good.
At first, I was trying to decide whether to keep this 4-pack's Wolverine or the Phoenix 2-pack Wolverine. I ended up keeping both because both are decent. Wolverine is posed to execute a fastball special with Colossus, with both arms outstretched forward. Right off the bat, that's a nice concept. But Wolverine's articulation at both arms and waist, combined with his angled stance, provide for lots of versatility, though occasionally at the cost of stability. B+.
This is a great Colossus. The costume is nice and the segmented steel skin on his arms, legs and even fingers really completes Petey. The articulation of arms and waist works very nicely. This friendly figure is a pretty stark contrast to the 2-pack version, which is a mean-faced, fist-clenching wad of anger. His open hand is made to hold Wolverine, but also works well with Nightcrawler and a couple other figures. I do wish that he was a smidge taller or bulkier. A.
I'm not a big Emma Frost fan, but the inclusion of a brand new character is nice. I like the very classic costume, as I'm more used to villainess White Queen than X-men White Queen. Emma's hair and face is very nicely done, fitting for the character. Like many female figures, she has no articulation, but at least she is very stable. B-.
All in all, I'd say this Magneto figure is superior to the 2-pack version. I like the bolder shade of purple. The decorative, purple frame around Magneto's face is more accurate, although the little horns are completely missing (whereas the 2-pack version has a half-assed unpainted version). The pose is pretty good here; both arms and, more importantly, both hands outstretched works nicely for the master of magnetism. This is one of the rare cases where the waist articulation does very little for the figure. Finally, I noticed that Magneto sports one of the flashier, more dramatic capes among caped SHS figures. Magneto's face is bit too innocent or childish, but that's a minor complaint. B+.

The first Super Hero Squad 4-pack that I reviewed was just four random repaints thrown together in a box set that was less than exciting. But upon opening the second pack, it’s immediately apparent what’s going on since all four of these figures are brand new sculpts. Continue reading: jestergoblin.com/?p=4262

Note: I do not own most of these SHS Packs much like the Combat Heroes I am reviewing the ones I don't have.
Colossus:
Colossus has seen some major modifications since its last release. They even inculded the steel lines on his legs and on the sides of him. Best Colossus ever. A+
Wolverine:
This figure of Wolverine can go on Colossus's hands making him an awesome figure. A+
Emma Frost:
For a an X-Men member Emma Frost should have a mad face to match her appearance in the comics. Other than that, I'm still glad they made her at all. A
Magneto:
Magneto is downright terrible. The face barely matches the purpose of the character. The last release is a whole lot better. Magneto's costume is okay but that's not saying much. D-
