Captain America "His pose is more commanding and matches the character better. He isn't hunched over this time. I like the overall look, but I would prefer a more stoic look on the face." The repaint is fine, but there isn't much of a reason for it. C+
Scarlet Spider/ Iron Spider-Man (shiny) Debuting right before Civil War, this is Iron Man's take on Spidey's costume. It was then used in the Initiative for the three clones of MVP. The waldoes (extra arms) feel too thick, and were never used to support the character in the book but minor nitpick. My biggest complaint is the paint used. It's too... dull, a brighter color is better (and fixed later on). A fun Spidey variant overall. B-
Ms. Marvel/Carol Danvers/Warbird/Whatever-the-hell-she-goes-by-now While Emma and Psylocke are excellent representations of females in the line, Carol is a let down. Easily warped in packaging, she has great difficulty standing. She looks great though. A good new character, but needs improvement. B-
Vision I was never a huge fan of Vision, but hey, to each his own. The figure looks great and is all new (to my knowledge) but feels too bulky. I don't remember Vision every being a big guy, and this guy has a huge chest! B

Ms Marvel is my favorite Marvel superheroine so this automatically one of my favorite SHS figs.

Ms. Marvel is a a bit below average for a female SHS character. Her stability is among the worst of the SHS lot, precariously balanced on her fragile sash like a crutch. Overall her pose is a bit ambiguous. Is she supposed to be flying or just randomly standing on one toe? Neither of her arms mesh well with her pose. The forum database says that she has no articulation but actually she can move her left arm. It's hard to notice because there's really not much you can do with this arm. I'd probably rate her lower except she's the only Ms. Marvel option we have. C-
Vision is not bad, and I'm glad to see he was included to flesh out my Avengers collection. The costume is pretty faithful though I think I would have preferred yellow or blank eyes. My biggest complaint is his stiff arms, which are screaming for articulation. His face seems to be painted a little too dark; it almost looks dirty. B+

Thanks mostly to Brian Michael Bendis; the Avengers became popular once again. It was only a few years ago when Iron Man was a relatively unknown character outside of comic reading circles, and now he’s one of the big four – up there with Spider-Man, Batman and Superman. But when a team’s roster has included pretty much any and everyone in the Marvel Universe, it lets Hasbro pick and choose whomever they want for the Super Hero Squad!
