I bought one of these 4-packs but held it only until I was able to obtain both a Nightcrawler/Jugg pack and a Gambit/Rogue pack. I've since returned the 4-pack.
Generally speaking, I prefer figures that are LESS situation specific. Since I am focused on primarily collecting one or occasionally two copies of my favorite characters, I'd prefer the "standard" versions of characters over more specialized versions. To me, the standard, generic version is more versatile than the specialized version. This distinction is probably irrelevant for the many completist collectors on this board.
As I already ranted in my review of normal Gambit, I don't care much for the pose. Way too awkward and clumsy looking. I also agree with critics who find it odd that the stick itself is energized, which is pretty unusual. C-.
I love Nightcrawler, but again I prefer the "standard" version. I'm not crazy over half-and-half figures like this Nightcrawler and the Iceman in the Pyro pack. B.
Again, if I had to have only one Jugg figure, I would go with the clean version without the bumps and bruises. If I had to have two versions, the only difference wouldn't just be a couple added scratch marks. C-.
I'm not a big Wolvie fan and I'm not a big fan of figures in street clothing. On top of that Wolverine's right hand looks like its stricken with elephantitis/popeye-arm syndrome. D.

I'll be reusing my base reviews for these figures since they are all repaints. Stuff in quotes is old, stuff not in quotes is new.
Nightcrawler "An excellent figure. His somewhat awkward stance works very well for Kurt. I wish his tail rotated. But a fantastic figure overall." This version is mid-bamf (or hiding in shadows) by being cast in translucent plastic. I like how he looks overall but not a necessity. B+
Juggernaut "If it weren't for his smile, this figure would be excellent. Cain Marko shouldn't be smiling like that. Good size on the figure." I dislike battle damage on my figures usually and this is no exception. The damage paint takes away more than it adds. C-
Wolverine "Logan only moves at the arms. One hand is a grab the other has the claws out. His paint looks fine. Nice jeans and cowboy boots. His facial expression is a little... off for Logan." Changing the color of the jeans and beater doesn't do it for me. Not exciting without the bike. D+
Gambit "Gambit is sporting movable arms and the darkest skin tone next to Ultimate Nick Fury. I don't know why he's so tan, it really struck me as odd. He's holding his staff and an ace. His stance is rather interesting, since it uses his jacket to balance and one of his feet. He looks really cheery but the skin tone just feels weird." This figure fixes the skin color completely, but also gives him transparent cards and staff. I don't mind that change but some may. I prefer this version of Gambit over the other one. B-
As a pack full of repaints, it really depends on if you have the characters already or not. For $10, it's not a bad deal at all.

The Super Hero Squad four-packs stuck with the same pattern the second time around, one pack of repaints and one pack of new figures. This time around though, instead of just releasing boring repaints, Hasbro actually fixed some of the issues and released an instant battle! How does this battle end? jestergoblin.com/?p=4502
