Dark Beast This is a figure I never expected to be released in this style, even as a repaint. As a repaint, the figure works and looks different enough but there are a few big gripes I have with it. As a plus, Dark Beast has different eyes and thus, a different face from regular Beast which is a nice touch. My biggest complaints have to do with the legs. Dark Beast possess leggings similar to Sinister. The X-belted underoos he's wearing seem odd to me. An okay figure overall, but he's seriously weakened by "just being a repaint." C+
Logan is a straight repack. I don't particularly care for this figure (the facial expression bothers me) but he's a decent civilian Logan. As a repack, it's uninspired and slightly disappointing. C-
The motorcycle looks good but suffers from the same issues. Without a kickstand, this bike just doesn't work well as a display piece. Plus, only a very small number of figures can ride it which is disappointed. The blue and black "flames" look good, but mine came pre-scuffed in the back. C
Havok is the reason most people are probably buying this set. A brand new sculpt. He's unarticulated but looks very interesting. They did a good job displaying his powers, with rings upon rings surrounding his hands. My only complaint is the circle in his chest is dull, I would have preferred if it were white. A good representation of his modern costume. There's nothing wrong with this figure but he doesn't blow my mind. B
The backdrop for the back is a destroyed city scape. It looks fine but generic, especially since the pack says they're fighting Dark Beast in his most recent lair. I would have preferred a sewer back drop.
All in all, this set is okay. Technically two new characters is a plus but the inclusion of Wolverine seemed to hurt it the most. I mean, of all the X-Men to fight Dark Beast, Wolverine isn't the first one to come to mind. Hell, he isn't even in the top 5.

Yeah this is a pretty lackluster set. Havok is pretty cool but not cool enough to pull this out of average. He does look cool next to "Astonishing" Cyclops. Maybe we can get a Polaris some day.

Getting Dark Beast and Havok is bound to make some X-Men fans happy, but including another Wolverine with the motorcycle is starting to get boring when there are plenty of more exciting variants. At the end of the day, this pack really only offers one new figure and unless you like Dark Beast as much as I do as a character, this is an easy one to pass on. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=5505
