I concur. Keep in mind these are not in chronological order and the fading of paint is in part due to the fact that I have 2 kids and these figures are "well played." I originally made a Spawn from a Iron Suit Spiderman; forming the cape out of the 3 legs. But when I came upon an extra Venom, it was an obvious choice. As for the Master Chief, I'm tempted to go buy more of those guys when they go on sale, just to make the different uniform colors. And I haven't played Halo in 3 years!

Grifter (Gambit) Angela (Annihilus) I guess I should have put this one up with Spawn, but...like I said, I'll post the bad with the good, and always appreciate recommendations for improvement.

It's not the weekend, but it sure feels like it. Here's what I got for today. As theRocketJew said, everyone's got one, so why not me!

So I took a stroll down memory lane; going through the posts of other Custom artist. And I realized many of you had answered questions that I had posted. After reading through the replies, I went outside and fired up the camera once more, and used the Macro function. I think they turned out a lot better. And as long as the sun keeps shining here in FL, I think this is the new manner in which my photos will be taken. Hope you enjoy.

Still working on a way to smooth out some of the rough edges and the gun went to crap so I filed it down and out. It's another step on the journey to an amateur career as a toy maker. Many thanks to theRocketJew.

My buddy theRocketJew has been tinkering with plastics and foam molds. Paladin is made from an attempt to clone the Ultimate Punisher figure. It came out a little rough, as it was one of our first attempts to preserve articulation. In the end, I had to shave off his left gun. and is overall appearance is a little rough. But it's a step in the right direction.

foam molds? I have never heard of those being used to make molds of small objects. Thats what the problem is. Try using silicone mold material and resin to make casts.

I'm using silicone rubber. That cast in particular was an earlier "learning" version. Please don't ever look at it again lol Not to derail West's thread, I put some recent pics up in my thread to show you we don't suck. du5tin.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=custom&thread=1496&page=1
