DC Universe Action League Review: Low & Tomar-Re I don’t know if these two figures have any history or not, but packing up a Yellow Lantern with a Green Lantern works great. Low is a fantastic looking alien for any purpose and Tomar-Re is a fine looking Lantern. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=8485

No history since Tomar Re died in 1986 (before the existence of the Sinestro Corps) and Low 1st premiered 2007.

I found mine at Target, that seems to be the main place everyone has been finding them.

The fact that these two are packaged together is a bit morbid since Green Arrow shot Prometheus through the head (remember kids, Batman is the only hero who really refuses to kill). But even without the storyline component, these two just look like they belong together as an archer and a knight. One is a fantastic upgrade of one of my favorite characters and the other is just a good looking toy. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=8498

While Atrocitus is far from perfect, I’m amazing that Mattel even made the blood-vomiting alien hell-bent on revenge. And John Stewart isn’t bad at all, all Mattel needs to release is Kyle Rayner and the earthling Green Lanterns will be complete. With five of the Lantern Corps represented, all that’s missing is Indigo, Blue, Orange and Violet! Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=8504

Yeah, found mine at Target today! I found all of wave 2 except Green Arrow/Prometheus. JesterGoblin's right, Batman has ball jointed shoulders! The second wave is a HUGE improvement over all Mattel's previous offerings in this scale. I wasn't planning on getting Batman/Joker, but the sculpting is just so good I couldn't pass them up.

Much like the last Batman and Joker pack, this is a fantastic set to test the waters with to see if you like the Action League style. Worst case, you spend $7 for a tiny Batman and Joker to battle it out endlessly on your desk. Joker isn’t a bad figure, but the paint could have used another five minutes of checking before getting applied. Batman though, he’s just about perfect. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=8492The review also includes a great image showing just how much the style of Action League has changed. I'm really liking how this series is shaping up.

I'm interested in the constructs, but not much else. Maybe a guardian too.

I was at the 99 cent only store the other day and I saw single packs of aqua man and plastic man there. These are the same single packs I see at Big Lots but for only $1. If any one needs a bunch for custsom I can pick them up for you. The 99 Cent Only store I am referring ot is the huge one that, at least in Phoniex, took over spaces once used by Osco Drugs and other larger store fronts.

I am sooooooo close to jumping into this line. Since I don't read DC though, I don't have a clue to who most of these characters are, and I know the completist in me (I try to push him down into the deep dark pit of my gut) would want to collect them all.
Has anybody done any customizing on these things yet? That might push me over the edge...just not sure I can get past the square hands though.

Posting this here cuz I feel it applies.... Just found the Imaginext Oa Playset!! Its great and pretty compatible with the AL figures. It comes with Hal, a funny looking Kilowog and B'Dg (the squirrel), who also fits in pretty nicely. Check out the picks. (Sorry the 2nd pic is kinda blurry) Another thing, for those who care abt Imaginext - theyre reselling Hal and his plane but now he comes with Hawkman and Flash. And also theyve repainted one of those Imaginext Mechs green and selling it as a GL robot or sumthin with Hal.

So this is a legit playset? It's a great repaint of the other imaginext space station. Seeing it in green gives me some ideas.
