Like the other two-packs, this one just feels like more of the same. Mikey is decent but has weak paint applications and Chomper Bug is a fine bug who makes no sense as a Ninja Turtle enemy. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=7762

A long time ago, Playmates was known for having some of the best, most intricate sculpts of any toy line. To this day, many of the classic Ninja Turtle toys are exceptionally well done. I don’t know what happened to that magic, but every now and then a glimmer of it shines through like with Winged Dino. And that’s what makes Raphael and his brothers so disappointing, not only do we know Playmates used to do better but they still can. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=7766

Mini Moto-Cycles with Raphael & LeonardoThe big thing to remember about these toys is the simple fact that they aren’t the Action League or Super Hero Squad. They’re something else entirely and it just doesn’t feel right. Raphael is decent and looks like his on-screen counterpart, but the bike doesn’t work like it should and Raphael has no way to store his sai when riding it. Leo is pretty much the same thing with the only difference being a coat of paint, a different head on the figure and the addition of a sheaths on his back. When the best thing I can say about a toy is it includes little road cones and the figure doesn’t look like he’s wearing pajamas, that’s not saying much. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=7716

Whoa, I had no idea they made so many of these. I never saw anything past wave 1 and always thought it was funny they never made a Shredder.

Oh they did make Shredder... eventually.
And the only way to get him was in a $20 playset.
Which no stores would carry.
He later got released in a battle mech too.

Speaking of the Shredder that was barely released.... (am I talking to myself?) Originally retailing for $20, this isn’t a terrible set. It has Leo looking normal and the Shredder. That would have easily been a two-pack to fly off shelves. The playset is okay but not super exciting either. What’s most remarkable is how much better the playset is for the same price as the Super Hero Squad ones. I just wish the Shredder figure wasn’t so bad. Full review: jestergoblin.com/?p=6784
