I like Krylon Fusion. It's made specifically for bonding to plastic. I used it on a transformer. Depending on what color your using and what color you covering (i use white, red and black), it takes 2 to 5 coats. 15 minutes between each coat. Though they recommend waiting 7 days after your last coat before doing anything else with it, just to let it bond to the plastic better. Downside is that only some of the colors come in matte while the rest come in gloss. The damn red i use only comes in gloss .

Can you do a matte spray coat? That's what I use on all my figures that are hand painted.
Thanks for the tip!

The White and the Black i have are both "satin", which is basically like a matte finish. I still find that the white comes out with a little gloss to it, but then again i just use them as a base coat.

I think he meant a matte spray sealant to help dull the glossiness. Where do you get it from? Was looking for it and that glue stuff wt uses at Michaels, but couldn't find either...

JB Weld is at Walmart, hardware stores, maybe Target.
I use the Hodge Podge matte spray, from Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Walmart.
I used Krylon Interior/exterior ultra flat in the ship above, 2 coats.

I get the KRylong Fusion from Walmart. I also use the Mod Podge matte sealer (made by plaid) from the crafts sections at WAlmart. At one point i was using a different plaid paint sealer, but i assume it is the same thing. It DID cause my Red fusion to bubble up a little bit when i went too heavy in one spot on my Transformer. I haven't had that problem though with anything else.

So before I started customizing heroes, I started with vintage Star Wars figures, right before they started re-making them with the Power of the Force line (anyone remember weight-lifter Luke or monkey-face Leia?). I traded a bunch of customs to Brian of Brian's Toys to complete my collection of vintage SW figures I had as a kid; like many guys my age we stopped collecting right after Return of the Jedi so the last set of figures became very rare (pop-up lightsaber R2, Lando General, even Yakface). If you're interested at all at seeing my old stuff, I've placed most of them for sale on eBay: www.ebay.com/sch/plisnithus7/m.html?item=331299038236&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I've been working on a new higher end line of Star Wars pre-production statue figures similar to the Hogsquattle that I'm listing on eBay...

Wow. Those are cool. You should really post these on Figure Realm. People on the site are used to seeing things up for auction. They even look for them their. YOu can mention that they are available on ebay... or you can donate to the site and i think they'll let you link directly to the listing. Might help you get more exposure.
