I don't think Lego did either... HAHAHAHA! Well, I wasn't really expecting the final battle to be an Iron Man vs Mandarin driving a flamethrowing go-kart.

I was hoping the post-credits scene would be a teaser with Thanos or something like that

It was like " A tale of two movies". The first half of the movie was fantastic! Great plot, cool action scenes and most notably, a phenomenal villain. Then, all of a sudden Iron Man all but disappears in the second half, and Tony Stark has been transformed into James Bond, running around with gadgets and guns fighting "terrorists". Ok, I will go with that for a little bit. But then, they take Iron Mans number one arch nemesis, The Mandarin, who was at that point, a scary, ominous, and believable villain, and uncover him to be a drunken stage actor just playing a role! WTF? That's like saying that The Joker is not a real villain to Batman, just some person being payed to pretend . The whole audience is waiting for the final showdown, Iron Man vs The Mandarin. Thinking about what the Mandarins rings powers are, and when he will finally use them! But no. Some ignorant person thought it would be a good idea to disregard the 50 plus years of comic history, and throw the plot over a cliff to watch it crash and burn. It's a shame.

Well comic Mandarin is crazy racist. And supposedly Disney issued a "No drunk Iron Man" rule in the movies.

No drunk iron man but a drunk drug abusing mandarin is ok? When I saw that scene I almost walk out. Im surprised theres not more backlash.

I agree with mightythor, I wasn't thrilled with it either. Though I wouldnt even say the beginning was fantastic. Super muddy story with plot holes galore.
And thats even going into the movie knowing the 'twist' (that would have only pissed me off worse if I hadnt) and having read 20 straight or so horrendous reviews of it, so my expectations were dropped to almost zero. And yet I still did not come out impressed. As i was watching it, I found myself defending some of the issues people had with it, until that was no longer possible. It was like watching a Michael Bay movie. You might like it if you don't think abt it too hard.

While I had a lot of issues with the movie, seeing the Hall of Armors activated was awesome. I wish we got more time seeing each of the suits individually. But Killian and Mandarin were... meh. And I can't believe they made Norman Osborn black.

Just a few additional observations/criticisms , if I may indulge myself Why was there no Shield agents or other super heroes around? In Iron Man 2, Tony had Black Widow to help with the much smaller threat of Whiplash and Hammer Drones gone amuck. Even Nick Fury himself was there to help Tony Stark with his palladium poisoning/ arc reactor tech issue. But when the whole country is under possible terrorist siege, it's just up to an armorless Tony and Rhody armed with only pistols to handle it! The president has been kidnapped and Captain America is no where to be found? The Thor movie also had Shield and Hawkeye in it. The production company has these actors under contract for several more movies. No matter the cost, Wouldn't it have made sense, especially in this movie making era of recognizing the entire marvel universe, to have even just a few minutes of some other heroes helping out? At least explain where they are. Thor is in Asgard, Hulk doesn't want to get involved.....something. By the way, the bonus scene at the end was a disappointment as well. Sorry for the long rant.
