UUU! That Wolverine is perfect! Even his legs. There is a wolverine 3 pack from hong kong ending in 30 minutes. i might just grab that. though then i'll have 2 extra wolverines... it's only 9ยข less to get him just be himself. Decisions. Though i should probably wait for an official picture of the character. This does look pretty close to the few glimpses of his outfit they have revealed so far. Thanks FB

Merry Christmas Everyone! i wanted to share the present i gave my 2 year old this year. I know it's not an SHS figure. But right now it is really hard for me to post any figures i might have been work on, for obvious reasons -=frustrated scowl for 2count=-. So i figured i'd post this instead. We picked it up from Toys R Us a few months back on clearance ($40 i think). But it was a bright sparkling pink. Can't have that for my little boy. Specially since he loves batman soo much. Just for reference, here is the part of the bed i didn't paint, so you can see the original color. It literally has sparkles in it.

That is an awesome custom bed & a great idea/gift.....!!
You spray painted the bed but I have a question, where did you get the wheels from ?
.......ok, two more questions
- where did you "hide" this ?
- fumes ?

It came with the wheels. I just Spray painted on the Batman Symbol using a stencil i made. The bat symbol on the front was made from Yellow duct tape. There is also one on the back license plate, made the same way. We parked our car in the driveway and kept the bed in the garage for a week while we waited for the paint to full cure. And the fumes smell went away within 12 hours after painting it. It doesn't smell at all.

Ohh and the head lights were stickers that came with the car originally.

I think i have "i miss sharing and see customs" fever. So it might be the wrong place, but i post my first lego custom. did it in about an hour. After trying to avoid exposing my son to legos for years (they cost so damn much), we finally did, and then went crazy buying him Lego Hobbit and LotR sets. And you get tons of duplicates of characters, which for me is a recipe for customization. So i took Battle of 5 Armies Thorin, gave him Gandalf's beard and arms, plus Boromir's shield (for the time being until i can get him his own shield from the local Lego shop), and now my son is very happy to have Thror King Under the Mountain. His son Thrain is on the way. Once the new years starts, i want to get working harder at finishing up my custom SHS to-do list.

I got the fever too. Now that I have a few days off, have to re-organize the fodder and get inspired.
I have been working on a Hasbro Heroes excel spreadsheet-based "database" too, including pics and articulation.
I had no idea how many figures there were, and how long this was going to take! Just wish I had some Access database experience to make it easier to utilize.
Oh, and I like your custom...even though I have no clue about LotR. But he looks pretty spiffy.

Without any further adue, i present The Guardians of the Galaxy! I'll hold for applause. These were my son's stocking stuff this year. He really liked the Guardians of the Galaxy so i had to make him Super Hero squad figures to match the rest of his collection. Each character (excluding Groot and Ironman), had 3 or more costumes through out the movie, but i opted to go with their costumes from before they became a team, because i like how they all looked. I find it funny that Rocket has the same costume in the movie, but in three different colors, the later 2 times matching the colors of his team mates. Meaning that he had to probably make his own costume every time they changed, because it's not like there is a store that sells his regular rocket clothes but in different colors. My son saw me making them step by step, and knew that one day they probably would be his to play with. And yet he was still so excited Christmas morning to see them in his stocking. And before you get mad, he never believed Santa was real, even from a young age, but always appreciated what the character stood for. Made from a GI Joe Combat Heroes movie Cobra Commander. I was going to just leave cobra commander's mask on, but then decided that it would be way cooler to make the mask removable. Sculpted on the hair And changed the collar line just a bit so it would hold the mask in place better. Added a little sculpt to the boots and his left sleeve. The hands are resin casts i made from a Star-Lord bobble head. They just so happened to be the perfect size. I decided not to include his man-purse because... well it's a man-purse. The eyes of the mask were originally filled in with milliput, but they kept falling out so i filled them with Hot glue. The mask had to be recarved with the dremel. The eyes were hard because the dremel kept melting the hot glue. Still pretty happy with the figure, specially given where it started out. Made from an Indiana Jones Adventure Heroes German Mechanic. Inspired by WaterTorture. Dremelled off his mustache and dremel carved the belt. Knives are Lego Hobbit Elf knives. His tattoos were painstakingly painted on in a bright Reddish orange. I was really happy with how awesome they looked. THEN i coated the figure with my usually spray-on mod podge paint sealer, and it darkened up about 65% of the tattoos, making it look as if i only did only one coat in some areas. Looking at it after words, i realized that it looks more like it does in the movie now, but i still remember how amazing it looked before. Again inspired by WaterTorture. Made from a shs Mr. Fantastic and a resin cast of a "Branch Bash" Groot figure. He was a fair mix of Milliput sculpt and carving down with a dremel. Painted in a dark brown, and then dry bushed with 2 lighter tones of brown and some medium green. I love how awesome he came out. My one complaint is that his head doesn't look up very high. I had to carve Mr fantastic's head into a ball joint. Came out great, but because of the natural angle of the neck, it was hard to make it with the correct angle. I think this one is my son's favorite. She was made from two GI Joe combat heroes. Right arm is from Scarlett but the rest of from the TV version of the Baroness. Added some Milliput to sculpt parts of her legs, chest, and abdomen. Sword was a lego sword that i carved with an Exact-0 knife and a jeweler's file. The netting on her belly was painted on with 6 hairs strands of a paint brush at a time. He had been one of the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 inch figures but they had done a really cr@ppy paint job on him. Several paints were in the wrong places. The black on his pants wasn't painted at all. His gun was dark blue. His face was black, making it impossible to see his eyes. After fixing the face, i dry brushed on 4 different shades of brown. It's hard to tell from just the face, but his paint job looks amazing to me. Made from 2 different Super Hero Squad Iron Mans. Had to sculpt his shoulders with Miliput and carved the face with my dremel, using an engraving bit.

That's an insane amount of work on this group partner. You won 2 of my 3 votes.
The paint job on Drax and the overall look of Iron Man did it for me.
Congrats, and good luck!
