It's right at the end of the movie, not after the credits. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not even back masked b/c I definately heard "It's still alive" after the bombing. They ahve put some new pics up on www.1-18-08.com after the movie came out..maybe they did kill it? If anyone's thinking they might want to see this but are going to wait for DVD, don't. It will not be as awesome as it is in a theatre..unless you happen to have a big screen and kick ass audio setup.

There was. It came as static after the last credit. You wouldnt have been able to tell what it was tho. It was backwads.

I checked out Cloverfield the day after it came out with my girlfriend and some friends, and we all loved it.
I loved the FX, the design of them onster, and the story. I have no problem whatsoever with not knowing the monster's origin (in the film...the creators of the film have explained it all now, and there's even clues in the film). The film is shot from 1st person perspective, meaning you know as much as the camera guy does. Since the camera guy is in crisis mode along with his buddies and has NO CLUE WHAT'S HAPPENING, you don't either. I don't get complaints about this. They're unfounded.
The parasites were AWESOME. Totally worth 10 bucks...even though I had movie tix from x-mas anyway. Don't listen to critics, see it yourself, even at a matinee if need be. It may surprise you!
