How long does it take you to do something like Bill as opposed to starting from scratch?

Um...Well, i t depends, really. With Sasquatch, I knew exactly what i wanted to do, so I sat down and knocked him out in one sitting. An hour or so. BUT, then I went back and added the details, and the paint Still isn't 100%. So close, perhaps tonight I'll take a brush to him and finish the job. With a custom like Bill, although you're really just looking at a new head, hands, and resculpt of the upper torso, it actually take almost as long. Especially since Bill's paint apps are a little more complex, being different colors and all. Sassy is pretty much 2 colors, on the whole. Plus since Bill's smaller, it takes more time to get a more accurate sculpt no a smaller scale. More room to work with on a big guy like Sasquatch

Me too, thanks guys! Like I said before, I'd like all of them to wind up selling...These things are great fun to make, and I love being able to build characters that people want but may not get. One of a kind with these things means exactly that...since they're hand made, there'll never be another one exactly like it

Just a brief update: This is the final night for Carnage and Zemo on eBay...they each have about a half hour left, if anyone's interested. Also, the REAL news, here. Sasquatch is finally done ( I'm very happy with the finished result), and I've finished 2 NEW customs. I should have pics soon, but for now, some clues: The first one is HOT...while the second one is known for his chivalrous lunar activities Expect pics soon! Joe

Vulcan? Ronan?
Sunfire? Sunspot? or like Emma kinda hot?
please post pics soon!!!
and about your ebay auctions, if you list them under "superhero and super hero squad" they will get more hits. a lot of people probably arent seeing them b/c not many people search for customs. and if they do, and if they search for "superhero squad custom" yours wont show up.
just my hint to you.
and i would bid because they ae really nice, but i strictly collect x-men and related figs.

You're good, my friend! You were half right Also, thanks for the tips on listing the figs...I'll keep it in mind when I list the next set Now onto the customs! Up first we have a couple of pics of the newest one...Sunfire! I could've gone old-school but I've loved this particular costume since its inception. So here he is: Obviously, you can tell who I used as a base...it was just the logical choice. But he's more than a straight up repaint. His mask and armor components are ALL sculpted on...'twas time consuming, but I think the end effect was worth it. Here's another pic, and why I feel he was successful ( please excuse the slight blur, you should get the jist here): Finally, We have Moonknight. He's not done being painted yet. I've got touch-ups to do, but I'm pretty happy with how he's come out so far. Here he is: So, once again, thanks for lookin guys! Hope ya'll dig the customs, I've got one more sculpted already and a few more on deck...but the fodder bin's running low, so hopefully some of these commissions start arriving at my house soon so I can have new pics to post and projects to work on!

i actually thought about doing that exact same version of sunfire but thought it wouldnt work. So, i started sculpting a classic version of him.
