While it was yet anopther display of Pixar's amazing technology, this movie was NOTHING like the previous Pixar movies. I'll be really interested in seeing how it does box office-wise, as I can imagine a lot of kids getting very bored. It was a cartoon version of "inconvenient Truth" I'm not going to give away anythiing at all, as people might find anything to be a spoiler, but the cartoon that preceeded Wall-E was awesome! It was about a Magician and his bunny. He has two hats (one a wizard's and one a magician's top hat) and they are connected through space to eachother. Chaos ensues at a higher level than any previous cartoon we've seen before. I loved those 5 minutes far more than the main movie. Oh well. Oddly enough, there was no preview for the next Pixar movie, a first I believe for this company. Any questions?

I find it hard to avoid movies with robots as the main characters. Especially tiny, adorable robots that remind me of Johnny 5.

We saw it this AM as well - I agree wholeheartedly, JP. My almost 3 year old got very antsy (this is the kid who was PUMPED up during TIH and Iron Man) and was ready to about 1/2 way through - My 6 year old (a little environmentalist in the making) loved it - My 5 year old didn't say much. But, all 3 kids got cool w.a.l.l.-e watches and were happy to not have to clean their rooms or make their beds this morning so we could make it on time.

My GF and I checked out the flic today, and loved it. I actually felt it was Pixar's best effort behind The Incredibles (which still ranks #1 for me). So much was accomplished with nothing more than simple movement and sounds...it's unbelievable. The animation was absolutely beautiful, and the character designs were great, if simple. Ofcourse there as an underlying message, and I've heard some folks say it would be over a kids head. I don't think that's true if you make an effort to instill some sense of environmental awareness in your kid. Obviously a toddler won't get it, although they will love Wall*E for what he is...a fun, adorable robot. Older kids (5, 6, 7+) will grasp the concept well enough, even if it requires a bit of explaination from mom or dad (Hey Kid, give a hoot...don't polluter!) and every kid in the theater was at least amused/ laughing at the appropriate moments at our showing. Overall, I loved it and found it very, very enjoyable. The short at the beginning was absolutely brlliant. I don't think I've laughed so hard at an animated film in a loooong time. And I definately got plenty of laughs from the feature as well. But even at that I feel the humor played second fiddle to the heart of the picture, which was masterfully executed with nothing more than a pair of binoculars and some blinking lights. Props to Pixar for once again delivering a true work of art to the masses!

My husband and I loved it. I agree about the short before the film; it was HILARIOUS. I also agree that this was a very different kind of film compared to the other Disney/Pixar ones.
The sad thing in our theater was that after the movie, despite its message, almost everyone left their trash behind.

I'm dying to see this, I promised to take my gf, she's so excited. I heard that it was 2001-esque and I just don't know what to expect.

Best Pixar movie yet. I loved the Incredibles and Finding Nemo but Wall-E is a level above those. Amazing.

I though I was the only one who LOVED The Incredibles. By FAR my favorite Pixar movie. Yet to see this, but I've never really seen a weak effort from Pixar. I'll have to check it out. #1 movie in America right now...
