That is awesome. I would love to have had that Venom instead of the ones we got.

Okay! Here's some pics. I also am including some pics of two statue commissions that I have in the works. One is a Venom repaint and the other is a tendril addition to Carnage. The pic I made into a sneak peak jigsaw. lol

By the way, I will be getting the unproduced Venom prototype custom painted. I'd love to hear what you guys think I should do for paint scheme. My painter friend--the gent who customized my Venom and Carnage statues--does work for Bowen Designs. He volunteered to paint-up my SHS Venom prototype. Do you guys think I should ask him to match the paint scheme on the original Spidey 3 cardstock OR go with a flatter paintjob to match my other custom symbiotes? I'd love to hear what you guys think I should do. This has been my grail of SHS for so long! I'm happy to share pics with everyone, too, btw! -MTR

The pic I made into a sneak peak jigsaw. lol THAT VENOM IS SO AWESOME!! I am ridiculously jealous of your Venom, it secretes perfection! I do wish Hasbro had made this Venom, though I see your version is at least three times larger than the original. I really love the custom painted statues too, give your friend my admiration. My input- I think you should paint the Venom similar to your symbiotes, personally. I was never found of the chromish look of Venom for the SHS-Spiderman movie. Three Questions:Is the Venom articulated? AND Did you custom mold that Puma next to Venom? AND Can you make me one!?

Thanks bud! I should be receiving Venom tomorrow, so I can check when I get him. I know he turns at his waist and his arms move (based on the pics.) I'm hoping that his head swivels, but I won't know until I get him.
In regards to your second question, the only way I could get Venom was to get the Puma figure, too. lol They're both prototypes and I had to pay a hefty fee to a Japanese collector in order to get them. (Please don't ask how much I spent--my wallet is still crying in agony. lol)
And regarding Q3: if I knew how to make duplicates without screwing up the original, I'd definitely consider doing it.
Tough, tough decisions on Venom's paint. I'd love to hear what other folks think about that.

By the way, he is pretty damn big compared to the other Venom incarnations. To me, THAT's how he should be anyway! I mean...Eddie Brock is a body builder w/ a crazed symbiote multiplying his size and strength ten-fold. lol
I think the pic that was posted on the back of the Spiderman 3 SHS cardstock was photoshopped. I think Hasbro shrank the picture of Venom so that he scaled with Puma. I'm going to guess that the reason this Venom never saw the light of day was because he was too big to fit in the plastic packaging. Of course, it's only speculation, but it's a logical explanation to me.

Is it wrong that I'm so impressed by your autographed Soup Nazi picture? That prototype Venom is an awesome find, though!

So dag-gone cool man. I ALWAYS wanted that Venom. I bet he was to big to pack in with Puma so they had to scrap him. I wish we lived closer so you could bring it over and I could mold and cast him. It wouldn't be too hard and it would stay in the same shape as you have it.
Super cool man. Congrats!

Hey gang! I just wanted to share a few images of my latest addition to my collection. These pics are FRESH (just got them this morning) It's a character that I've been asking Bowen Designs to produce for some time now. The artist really knocked it out of the ball-park if I do say so myself! I wish more characters, like Doppelganger, could see some attention from BD. Started from a 6 arm spiderman bust from Bowen : - new head and new position - new position for the arms + modification on the elbows + 6 new hands - new logo on the chest - new suit on the arms - add of the legs - add of the base - complete new repaint It's almost done. The artist will just add an under base for more stability Here's a few pics: Needless to say, I am a VERY happy customer! Sincerely, Your friendly neighborhood Reaper

That is friggin awesome. I completely forgot about the different six-armed spidey story-arcs. I'm going to have to try and make a six-armed spidey using SHS parts.
