The packaging is sweet. As dumb as that sounds. Hasbro has really impressed me with the multi-packs. The displays don't get destroyed when opening and give a nice display piece. This one is a skyline background with a nice building interior as a separate piece. And on top of that, it breaks into two pieces and becomes a carrying case! Pretty neat.
Now onto the figures...
Classic Daredevil: A worthwhile repaint, while the suit is amusing, you wonder how a blind guy made it. I like the coloring better than the regular version. Decent repaint. Solid figure. B
Classic Human Torch: I really don't like the original FF costumes. The white boots and gloves: terrible! Plus Johnny looks weird being covered in yellow flame, I would have preferred if his flames were orange. Not that impressed by this one. D
U S Agent: Capt's face seems to fit USAgent much better than Capt himself. They went with his simplified shield: the one without the star on it. His coloring uses black instead of blue, nicely setting him apart from Capt. But his star on his chest is centered, it should be to the right. Minor nitpick on my part. His suit overall seems to be a blend of several different iterations of the costume. Nice repaint and a new character: I like it. B
War Machine: The color change works out well, he looks like a War Machine in this line's style. I don't like the fact that his chest light and palm light are yellow, I would have preferred a silver chest accent and a red hand coloring, I can change it myself. The lack of launchers on his shoulders make him less War Machine-y. Decent looking repaint and a new character and a new piece for the armory! C+
Dark Phoenix: Wow! The clear firey phoenix as a stand. It looks really good (Makes me look forward to wave 4). Her paint is clean and looks terrifying. Well, as terrifying as a a two inch tall figure can. I really like this figure. She's not articulated but it doesn't matter. Great figure. A
Spider-Man: A repaint from the Spider-Man 3 line. They tried to make him look comicbooky, but the lines are too thick on the webs and not thick enough around the eyes. Still, his pose is my favorite Spider-Man pose so far. It's nice to have Spidey in comic book colors, but this one leaves much room for improvement. D
The Thing: Again, the classic-ish FF costume. Not a big fan of the look. He's a pretty standard repaint, new boots, lighter pants. Meh. Worthless addition. D
The Hulk: His skin is a darker green and his pants are dark blue. Big whoop. Feels like a worthless repaint again. D
Overall: One excellent figure, two good, two okay, three mehs. The packaging really helps boost the set as a whole. If you aren't a completist, this set could be a really good jumping on point if you're looking for a small collection.

Way back when I first started collecting SHS, I was aiming at only one spidey fig, and this is the one I targeted on ebay (or maybe it was the easter egg version). Both the costume and the pose are classic. Unfortunately, the pose is surprisingly unversatile; the lower arm might as well be fixed because moving it upwards just a smidge causes spidey to fall forward. Now I have 3 spideys but overall this one is probably still my favorite. A-
I also grabbed US Agent off ebay, just because I was trying to expand my Avengers collection. Overall, US Agent feels like a pretty generic repaint. Plus mine has a sloppy paintjob. C
^Those were the only two figures I got from Collector's Pack 1. I can't speak too much about the other figures, but Daredevil and Phoenix seem like the only worthy repaints; the pose actually seems to work better with Dark Phoenix than Phoenix. War Machine is not bad, but I already have a different War Machine that I prefer. All in all, not a very good package.

When this pack first debuted, it was $30 which was high since two-packs were only $6 at the time. But shortly after, it went on sale for $20. While all the figures are repaints, they’re all good toys. It’s great for collectors who want Dark Phoenix, First Appearance Daredevil and U.S. Agent. For kids, this includes the big names like Spider-Man and the Hulk! Eight figures, even if they’re all repaints, and a carrying case made it a great deal and a solid foundation for an instant collection. I just can’t believe they didn’t include Wolverine somehow!
