Zombie Iron Man Zombie Wolverine Zombie Spider-Man Zombie Colonel America Zombie Hulk I got the burned look by doing a combination of matches and point-and-flame lighters. Different plastics reacted different ways. The only paint on these figures are the blood, the eyes, Wolverine's silver bones, Spider-Man's white bones. That's it. Everything else is sculpted and then burned. I first did some test runs on seeing how the burning would affect the paint and learned that it acted differently with painted parts and non-painted parts. All the mouths were sculpted with sculpey which looks really cool when burned by fire, it gets a nice reddish-black-brown color. NOTE: If you want to use this method USE EXTREME CAUTION. Fire is not meant to be played with. Also, the burning plastic smell is awful, light a candle.

Heh, not sure what I'm going to do just yet with them. But I do have a use for all the Scarletts.
It's like Madam Masque all over again when a bunch of us made her within days of each other.

This one goes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back to the first round of Community Chest, but he's been sitting unfinished for months (or is that now close to a year?). But it's Gray Suited Cobra Commander! I'm not happy with the red on the face, but I don't have the skills enough to make it right. It's supposed to be the Cobra insignia. Head, arms - Hooded Cobra Commander Torso & legs- Helmeted Cobra Commander Check out reference shots at: jestergoblin.com/?p=6023

Seems like customizers everywhere get alot of mileage out of Cover Girl... and now I think I have to get one of my own to repaint, because we're probably never getting a proper Sharon Carter.

Absolutely, that two-pack was a godsend to customizers. Destro in a suit is a great base for dozens of characters and Cover Girl is a fine generic blonde in a jumpsuit. If you need some, I think I've got a few extras still.

So it's been ages since I last picked up the paintbrush, but I'm actually begun painting again... only I'm not doing SHS. I've started doing miniatures. They're for the game Zombicide, which I utterly adore. Now I just need to buy some Heroclix to make some Marvel Zombies...

That game looks fun. I'm assuming the 13+ or older means its not really appropriate for my 6 year old?

I love the game, but the rules and strategies are a bit hard for someone that young. I think 8-10 would be fine.
For many boardgames, they aren't rated 14+ because of difficulty. They are rated that way because many small publishers are not able to afford the necessary testing to prove that their game is safe for younger children. The younger the age, the most tests that have to be done - like proving choking hazards, sourcing all inks and paper and everything like that. The age rating is often based on legal requirements concerning safety, not the actual difficulty of the game.
I know companies like Fantasy Flight Games will often produce games that say 14+ but are perfectly fine for younger players, they simply can't afford the thousands of dollars worth of testing.
