Everybody's been finding this wave at Targets, but I found mine at a WalMart (Phoenix area). AND had the same problem I've had with the last few waves, where when they scan it, it shows its not in the system yet. So from now on, I'll take up an older 2-pack along with the new ones, tell them the problem I *consistently* have with these figures at Walmarts, and have them scan the older pack in proxy -- IF I remember to do it! I'm usually so jazzed with my find, I usually rush right up to the check-out...

I've found this wave at various Target's, Walmart's and TRU.
But has anyone had any luck with a quality Spider-Man/Ronin pack? Every one of these I've seen have an awful paint job on Spider-Man where his right eye is all messed up.

I think that's supposed to be intentional - either like he's squinting or it's based off Humberto Ramos artwork. jestergoblin.com/?p=6052

If I'd come across like that I may have picked it up. But the ones I've seen look like a blind four year old did the painting while sneezing.

I think they treat the eyes differently, Ramos is big on extending the amount of black:

I'm inclined to agree with you because of the body type (Ramos is a giant hands & feet guy), but that may just be a byproduct of the SHS style. Also the crazy backpack with the camera reminds me more of Ramos' early 2000s artwork on Spidey covers. However, though I can't find an image link, I could swear I saw a squinting Spidey by Larsen that looks a lot like this one. We may just have an individual interpretation thing going here - kind of like the Goblin in Wave 14. (Though I totally agree with you that that one looks more like Phil Urich and is much more tolerable that way.) Good to see you again, JesterGoblin! Hope you don't mind I followed you over here.
