Gambit is sporting movable arms and the darkest skin tone next to Ultimate Nick Fury. I don't know why he's so tan, it really struck me as odd. He's holding his staff and an ace. His stance is rather interesting, since it uses his jacket to balance and one of his feet. He looks really cheery but the skin tone just feels weird. C
Rogue is like the invisible Woman and isn't articulated. Solid paint applications, enough styling to make her fit in with the other figures. Her feet and hands are huge in comparison to her body but it looks good. It looks like her head could rotate, but I don't want to force it. A
Decent pack overall and getting Rogue and Gambit in one go was nice.

I found this pack dissappointing on many levels.
First off is the availability. Two extremely popular characters that are very hard to find for a good price. Thanks to board members here, I was able to snag one.
Then, when you finally get the pack, the figures are a bit of a letdown.
As others have mentioned, Gambit seems way too dark. But what bothers me more is his crooked pose. He looks all hunched over and bent out of shape. I think they did this possibly to try to scrunch Gambit's tallness into a mini figure, but the outcome is awkward. I can't seem to find a proper way to stand him up. He looks like he's falling or tripping. C-.
I think that overall the females got stiffed in the SHS line. Comics are still made to appeal to guys and that means pencil skinny girls. This exaggerated look carried over to SHS. So while the guys are short and chunky, the girls are short and skinny... and UNSTABLE. And frequently lacking in articulation.
Rogue is a good example of this. Her head has a teeny bit of articulation but that's it. Her body is skinny, her head is huge, and she falls over a lot. Having said that, I do like the costume and colors. All in all, I give her a C.

for some reason this set is insanely rare so it would be pretty unlikely any online source would still carry it. However gambit was rereleased in an x-men boxset which is pretty easy to come by. Hopefully rogue will be repacked in a similar fashion soon.

Neither of these figures are bad, but a few changes in paint could have gone a long way. If Gambit got out of the sun and had a card that looked like it was being charged by his powers, he’d be much better. As for Rogue, something as simple as a pair of lightly painted lips could have gone a long way. But how often are you going to get a pack of toys that have two people in leather jackets over spandex?
