That is awesome, any new ones sounds cool, but it kinda sucks that it is impeding the "regular" line's production, you know? I wish they just did both lines... "comic" accurate, and then some movie 4 packs (like Ironman. I think that was a swell idea)

Odds are the line just got rebranded. A movie will sell a hell of a lot more figures than the 25th anniversary line.

I think a movie would help sell some, but there is a crazy fan base for G.I. Joe and I don't think a rebranding would truely benefit the line- especially if the movie flops and unfortunately I don't have a good feeling about it (Hope I'm wrong). What other toy line has it's own convention- Cobra-Con each year, maybe Barbie, Hot Wheels and ? There's just something about the brand that can stand alone with the help of the movie, IMO

I think the GI Joe movie will do just fine. I question whether it will do Transformers levels of business, but I have no doubt it will be quite profitable.
They're making a movie that appeals to the masses, with some bonus stuff for the fandom, just like they did with Transformers.

I'm only snagging the cartoon-based Combat Heroes. I can't do anything else. ^_^;

Unless the characters have costume changes in the movie, I don't see the point of a movie line other than the obvious grubbin for cash. All the images of the Joes so far are pretty much black bodysuits.
