Here's my review of the Final Battle set.
First I will say that I'm surprised that the Transformers Movie line has managed to drag on this far. It is pretty obvious that the line is nearing the end since: a.) all the Transformers featured have been made; b.) they're already somewhat stretching it with Cliffjumper and Dispensor (even though both are really cool). So it's not surprising we'd get a box set before the line fizzles out and we have one based on arguably the best scene from the film.
Optimus Prime, Jazz, Blackout and Megatron are all great characters to be included in this set and all had memorable scenes during this part of the movie. The only one I think should have been rethought for this set was Ratchet. Everyone else is in a cool battle pose and here we have Ratchet giving a cheesy smile and thumbs-up pose that just doesn't fit in.
The variants in this set aren't as great as in the Decepticon Sneak Attack from a while back. There we got two new figures (Skywarp and Cliffjumper), two figures with new paint jobs (Megatron and Optimus Prime), and one figure showing off his special ability (Mirage). In this set we have only two figures that I would really consider worth getting this set for: Megatron and Jazz. Megatron has a nice metallic finish and Jazz is featured in his battle-damaged glory to foreshadow his fate in battle. Blackout is also battle-damaged, but with his navy paint-job you can barely tell it. Apparently the areas that got the worst damage on his body are underneath his arms; so don't pose him with them down if you want to show-off the battle-damage. Optimus Prime and Ratchet are the same as their 2-pack counterparts except for certain parts painted a light blue to simulate the All Spark coursing through their bodies. Personally, I think when displaying this that I'll just swap out the All Spark Prime for the battle-damaged one from the Best Buy DVD set.
In closing this set isn't bad for it's price: $10 for 5 exclusive figures. I found two of the figures pretty interesting, but that doesn't mean you might not dig the others. I would recommend this set for those who want a cheap and convenient way to get a bunch of characters for your kids/self or only for completists. This set isn't bad, but could have been better. The diorama in the package is pretty sweet, though, and even features a cardboard car on fire.
