...And by that incredibly vague header, I mean " What do you do for a living?".
I'll start. I'm a college grad ( last year actually) with a bachelor's in Graphic Design and Sculpture...Because my school didn't have an illustration program I really do a little bit of everything...and the proof is in the pudding.
Now I'm working for Twisted Toybox, a subsidiary of Monster Entertainment. Some of you may or may not know them as the folks who run the show at Monster Mini Golf. It's a Monster-themed Glow in the dark/ black light Mini Golf franchise, and they're pretty much beginning to pop up everywhere now.
Along with 3 other artists,I paint for them, designing monsters and creatures on large panels that are displayed at Monster Golfs all across the country. Right now we've got locations in Mass, Connecticut, Indiana, New york, Rhode Island, California, PA, Georgia, and there are others on the way. Recently, I've been assigned to designing some actual 3-d props for the courses. It's a pretty fun job
I work VERY part time for Starbucks, because Monster being a fledgling (but thus far incredibly successful franchise) isn't able to offer us benefits just yet, and if i work 20 hours a week atthe Buck, I get health and Dental.
I'm also always up for freelance work. I'm in the process of getting myself a web site now, so hopefully sometime this year I'll have an on-line portfolio.
So yea....Full Time Artist, Part Time Barista here
How about everyone else?
