Why did u start collecting SHS?
I loved the line from the start but attempted to avoid it at all costs, which ended in failure. I even remember the first packs I got. Cyclops with Magneto and Hulk with Wasp. And every day after I'd buy another pack just to get caught up.
I remember my brother used to say that the only reason I liked SHS was because it reminded me of pokemon in a way (I used to LOVE Pokemon and collected all the original figures, but they were given away a few years back on accident)
I didnt expect the line to go for long at first but then it really got obscure and that soon became a reason I loved it.
Style, Variety and the fact they were 2-inched figures were my reasons.

I randomly bought a 2-pack from Target for my three-year-old son because he was coming home from preschool asking about super heroes that all the other kids were talking about. They quickly became the only toy that he would play with so I bought a couple more packs. And then I realized that these figures were kinda cool so I bought a couple more, a couple more...
Two years later we're knee deep in 400+ figures... Whats really bad is that I started collecting comics again.

Ms. Marvel and Vision...when I realized I could potentially get an entire Avengers team someday, I was hooked.
Someday, one of my nephews is gonna get soooooooo lucky!

My boys started with Galactic Heoes because they were young and didn't have to keep up with accessories (until they started making removable helmets, shields, etc.). They didn't know many Marvel characters so I used the SHS to introduce them. Then came the other lines and then the cartoon.

I saw a guy on hisstank do some combat hero customs and I wanted to try it and fell in love. I am sure I drive die hard collectors crazy by just hacking up my stuff for parts. However I did get a vision and ms marvel in black this past weekend for $1 each those I will hold onto for awhile.

I am Geek and an avid comic collector so for me it was a no brainer, It also helped that my little Girl loves all things superheroes (Batman is her favorite but we never got the action league stuff in the UK).
From about 2 she was playing with SHS stuff and then moved up to larger figures but she still loves to have grand superhero wars (thanks to a lot of guys in this community for helping us locate some of the harder to find mega's).
She also collects Transformer's, TMNT, Batman, Ben 10 , Doctor Who and a heap of other stuff so it can get real expensive sometimes and she has been eyeing up Thundercats for christmas.

I had been an avid collector of Marvel Legends for several years and ended up with almost a complete collection from Wave 4 to Wave 15 (with the exceptions of the stupidly rare variants like unmasked Wolverine), but then Hasbro got the license and after picking up Ultimate Iron Man and Emma Frost, I knew the line wasn't for me anymore. Toss in the fact that I was about to start college, I knew my collecting habits would be much more difficult and then I saw the Superhero Squad figures.
So I ended up selling off almost my entire collection of figures and picked up the Super Hero Squad starting with wave 3. I soon tracked down all the other packs and the rest is history.

I had seen the various packs, but since they started out with Avengers and X-Men I was immediately concerned that they'd kill the line before my favorites were made, so I stayed back.
I breathed a sigh of relief and nearly caved and bought Sue & Dr. Doom for my daughter, but she didn't want them.
I thought the Black Cat was cool, but again they didn't want her.
Finally, I found a Dreadnought 4-pack on deep clearance ($2.04) at Target. I freaked out at the total obscurity of the offering and knew the line had arrived while I wasn't paying attention! And the price was nice for me... until I found out about Storm and the Black Panther.

I had points left over from a rewards program. One of the X-men four-packs was available for the few points I had, so I thought cool, I'll check them out. I loved them so much I began to look up more info on them and came across this website. I've never collected a toyset before and haven't since. I like SHS because they're not too expensive and their small size makes them easy to keep.
