Post your reviews for the Amazing Spider-Man three-pack Escape from Lizard's Lair with Spider-Man (movie), the Lizard (movie) and Gwen Stacey from wave 1.

This one is a bit of a mixed bag for me. It's nice to have three new sculpts, but the execution wasn't that great. Once again the Lizard's tail doesn't line up with his body, and though it isn't the toy's fault I really hate the pantsless movie design for him. Gwen Stacy's hurt by the sloppy paint apps on her clothing, and the new Spidey is likewise weakened by really cruddy paint. I looked at probably 7 of these packs and they all had really sloppy movie Spideys and paint slop on Gwen's jacket or legs. Also note that Spidey is the same weird rubbery consistency as the silver armor Leader. Really weird since Lizard and Gwen seem normal. edit: Ah, I just looked at your first impressions in the preorder thread and I seem to have accidentally plagiarized about two thirds of your post. Uh, no, this is the Ultimate version of JesterGoblin's post...?

Uh, no, this is the Ultimate version of JesterGoblin's post...? Haha, don't worry about it! I think it just gives better consensus on how we feel about this set. And I hadn't even noticed the fact that Lizard's tail isn't attached.

While laserlemon did the Ultimate take on this set, here's the 616! Lizard is amazing. While I dislike the head, the sculpt and paint are absolutely exceptional. Gwen is cute, but doesn't feel quite right. Especially when compared to Mary Jane, I think its the eyes being the wrong shape. Her paint is atrocious. Amazing Spider-Man is an interesting variant but suffers greatly on the paint as well. That said, you get three brand new sculpts in this set and that's a rarity. I give it an A just because they not only added a female character but a normal human one at that. AND I paid $22 for this 3-pack right before they arrived at my TRU and went on sale. So by simple math, this Gwen Stacey figure is at least $10 better than the rest. Other than that I agree with Jester's review.

Yay! In anticipation of seeing the movie I just picked these Super Hero Squad figures! Were they worth it?
Spider-Man: Spidey looks different then he usually does. You can only move his head,so otherwise your stuck. Spidey looks pretty good, and his eyes are colored like the Black Suits eyes. He has a web that's shooting out,but it just stays there.
Grade: A-
The Lizard: Lizard looks weird,in the movie. However, this Lizard is AMAZING even though it has NO articulation. Yep,0 Articulation. This one is more for your shelf then to play with.
Grade: A-
Gwen Stacy: Gwen's sculpt reminds me of Padme's sculpt in Galactic Heroes. She has the most articulation of the three,as you can move her head and arms. In looks, she doesn't look TOO bad. This may be the best figure of the pack.
Grade: A
Overall Grade: A-
Should you get it?: If your kids want to play with them, then NO!!!!!!!!!! However,if your like me,and want to collect them and put them in a trophy stand, then yes.
