OK.....if DP&F is good with it (since he would have to give up his title, if he loses), I'm game !!
SO, its official
PART II of this Qrts Custom Contest is still UP FOR GRABs. Give us your best "comic book" storyboard (with 3x NEW Figures that you have created) and submit them to me (PM) before AUG 31st (midnight) and I'll post the stories for everyone to VOTE (SEP 3rd)
Great idea tptbeyond

My older son starts school on monday, so that will make getting them done easier. I have 3 figures almost done, just not sure how to tie them into a story together.

darn the "no posting" rule. I could use some advise on how to proceed with a custom, that i might include in the contest.

This is DAY ZERO......& I have not received any custom work ?
So my question is......
- should we just give DP&F the "win" (since he was the only person that create a Hide-Out").......and we start the NEW quarter in SEP ?
or
- are you guys waiting for the paint to dry before you take pictures and submit your "comic book story" .......should I just be patient ?
.........let me know

I wanted to, I really did! I've even got the customs all made!
But unfortunately (fortunately?) I started a wonderful new job as a 5th grade teacher. I've been so overwhelmed these past few weeks that I haven't had a spare minute to figure out my comic story and take photographs...

Well I have 2 that i'm deciding between. So let just vote here.
Choice 1 - A Simple Repaint: contestants will submit only figures that had no sculpts added and possibly no switched pieces (i'm still deciding on that). And maybe no pieces removed (again still debating on this). Or maybe we can a voting penalty for each part from a different base figure. I like this one because that's how i got started. Had an extra Obi-wan and wanted him to be a different Jedi. Judging will be based on cleanliness of lines, use of "advanced" techniques (like dry brushing highlights or water brushing subtle tones), fine detail work, ect. No cap on number of figures submitted, so submit 1 or 20.
Choice 2 - Sculpted Masterpiece!: Submit 1 unpainted figure with all of his sculpting already done. Judging based on creativity! the more awesome of sculpting added, the better.
So problems i see is that, most of us wanted to add sculpting to our figures, or at least change a piece. I don't remember the last time i did a figure that did have something either removed with the dremel or had Milliput added to it. But i love the idea of the contest. Though i think more of us would do the 2nd contest and really have fun with it. The problems is that i usually paint my figures before i reassemble them. So tell me which one you guys would prefer and maybe some reasons behind it.
OR CHOICE 3: ANd combination of the 2, where the simple repaint is the tie breaker.

I like/pick.......option 2
Reason: Since I've been in a slump the last few "months", this will get my wheels spinning. I have a lot of ideas (figures) that I want to create
So I think option 2 would be best for me.......

Maybe option 2 but with a finished product component? So you'd still show the sculpted unpainted figure, then paint it and show the finished product?
