Saw it today and man was I surprised. I thought jumper was going to be the better movie I saw this weekend and spiderwick took me by surprise.
Freddy Highmore does another amazing performance but not as one character, but two. He plays twins in the movie and he does such a good job playing them. He is one of the best young actors out there and here he proves it
The story is pretty good and my only problem with it was it was a bit short but its still one of the best childrens movies ive seen, I almost want to call it better than narnia but im just not sure yet

If you really liked it, check out the book series. They're kids books so they're a pretty quick read. They're just starting on the 2nd series of books.

In addtion to the novels, there is also an actual Field Guide they've put out too. I'm going to pick that up at some point. I love books about creatures and monsters.

(The first one). Maybe because I read the book series a bunch of times growing up. I liked the beginning of the movie, and maybe the first half, but it got a little boring at the end. As far as all the movies made on Childrens/Young Adult books, the only ones i liked really were the first 2 Harry Potter movies. The 3rd was ok, I haven't seen the 4th. As far as fantasy movies go, I LOVED the Lord Of the Rings, and can't wait for the new take on The Hobbit.
