Saw it. Hated every last minute of it. Ruined my childhood. Everything looked like it was shot on a cheap stage. Whole movie sucked, from start to finish. Zero out of four stars.

well it was supposed to look like it was shot in the 1950s or60s.plus they could have been just trying to keep it looking like the old ones

It was nothing like the old ones. By "cheap stage" I mean nothing looked like a location shoot, everything looked like it was shot on the set of Frasier with blue screens behind it. It was horribel quality.

You're right about that, I was disappointed too! It wasn't god awful horrible, but it was a stretch.

Saw it. Loved it. Fits great with the original trio of films.

I argee that the story fits, but some of the scenes were too over the top or tongue in cheek or director's wink to fans. The basic story was good, bad just a few too many bad scenes that kinda spoiled it. 1.) The refrigerator scene. 2.) The waterfalls 3.) The sword duel 4.) The tarzan scene 5.) The snake scene 6.) The "Raiders" type end- sorry, if that spoiled it for anyone (trying to be vague for those who haven't seen it)
Maybe I need to go back and re-watch the original, but the action never seemed so unbelievable in those movies as they did in this movie. Like I said, not awful- but disappointed.

It's campy, it's got over the top fling-plausibility-out-the-window stunts, it's got cheesy humor. In short, it's my kind of movie Sure there was some stuff I could've done without but overall I really did enjoy it. I prepared myself going in that it would probably be like watching something on Saturday afternoon TV when I was 12. And maybe that's what let me take all the over the top parts in stride and really like the movie for what it is. It's not meant to be the end all be all Indy movie, they did that with Raiders which is why the sequels will never be as good, IMO anyway. To sum it up, it's more Last Crusade than Raiders and is definately something a 10 year old will enjoy. Don't overthink it. As much as I hate the saying "it is what it is" it really applies here. I give it 3.5 fedoras out of 5

i thought is was decent. i hated the story though. Just didnt feel like an Indy movie to me. and i agree with everyone else, the stunts and most of the scenes were way to unbelieveable.
