Well, I really took the plunge with Galactic Heroes... today is the first of many reviews on the subject I fear. Luke really is showing his age now that he's one of the oldest sculpts. The paint isn't bad, but the skin tone is really toy-y looking and the facial sculpt is awful. Add in subpar articulation and I don't care for this figure. C- R2-D2 didn't fare any better, the paint is sloppy as can be and his torso is misformed - like it was taken out of the mold too quickly, so he's oddly crooked and just looks wrong. Throw in more subpar articulation, and this was a disappointment all around. D-

I tell ya, I must really be an odd ball when it come to toy collecting.... First lemme say that I agree with u that Lukes skin looks silly, and that R2s paintjob (and mold) is real bad. BUT, as Ive said before, I dont care for articulation. In fact, I prefer NONE. I guess I understand why people would want articulation on ACTION figs, but these guys are like PVC figs. They usually dont have articulation. Similarly, I prefer the non-pose these original figs had. I dont need them in action poses, because regardless, its limiting. And if its going to be limiting, Id rather them all look abt the same. (See: JLU) And I like his face. That goofy childish look of the lines (originally) is what got me collecting these. That they were toys for 3 year olds. I dont want a mean faced Wolverine, I want a cheesin Wolvie. ;D Apparently another thing Im in the minority with. Maybe I should start a thread abt these topics...... Anywayz, good review otherwise. Keep it up bud!
