I am thinking about expanding my Heroes collection into GH as well as my SHS. For someone just starting out, Is it going to be difficult finding the older cinema sets? Will my best course of action be eBay? It looks like GH likes to repackage figures a lot as well, so I am not as concerned about the 2pack figures. Thanks

all the original Playskool sets ended up as cinema scenes and then as repacks in cinema scenes with newer figures ... fast through the forest became speeder bike chase and then endor attack .... there are some exclusives in newer scenes but the originals from fast thru the forest can be found in the newer scenes ... good luck

i would go on ebay .. as ghcustoms said above the playskool sets did get repackaged. but if you are looking for the actual hasbro round boxed cinema scenes i would go to ebay .. they show up there often. you might have to over pay depending on when and who your buying from

also some of the etailers like entertainment earth and big bad toy store have older sets for less than ebay auctions

Thanks for the input guys. I am debating on picking these up or the Brave and the Bold mini figs. I can only choose one new line to start.

well GH line has more figures than the brave and the bold minis .. i had to do the same when shs came out i stuck with GH and now am having trouble of keeping track of what i need from the shs line... i wouldnt know what to do .. i would say get the brave and bold since that would be easier to get all the figures since it is a newer line .. but then you will fall behind further in gh . But if you get gh you will need to catch up with gh and brave and bold.

If you do decide to go for Galactic Heroes, I would suggest nitpicking the line for the ones you want. Keep in mind that at this point, there's no way that you'll be able to get them all.

Best way to start a GH line is to hang out on a message board of Galactic Hero collectors who have a bunch of extras. If your looking for original trilogy I have: Darth Vader, Han, Luke, Leia, C3PO, R2d2, Chewbacca, Ben, Wedge, Greedo, Ponda Baba, Garindan and I will even throw in one of my "coveted" 2-pack rubbery Stormtroopers. All of these are circa A New Hope so it's farm boy Luke etc...

Yeah, I wouldve gone Original Trilogy figs only I've tried that, but it's so hard to find anything on the local shelves except clone troopers, Anakin's plucky orange Miley-Cyrus-lookin' padawan and Kit Fisto (tee hee! What a filthy name). Then whenever I find something random and cool like a Palpatine/Vader 2-pack, I grumble to myself because a) I already have the best possible Vader, and b) there's a SHS Thanos/Mar-Vell RIGHT THERE...
