Selling my collection

Hey guys. I'm going to sell off my collection of Galactic Heroes and was wondering what you think the best and easiest way of doing it would be.

I have a solid collection and they're all in great shape in the boxes. I am only a few away from having all of the 2 packs and I have 25 cinema sets/vehicles.

My problem is that I dont want to deal with shipping each piece individually, but at the same time, I dont want to get short changed by throwing it all in a lot. I know I have to pick my poison but I thought I'd run it by you guys first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Quite impressive.

I'd say the best way to do it is to break it up into lots. Group the packs together by wave and sell them that way. Yeah, it will make more work for you but more work means more money.

Do you plan on ebaying them? If you go that route, it makes more sense to sell in larger sets so eBay gets a smaller cut. If you're looking to sell on a forum, well good luck because I don't know many people who want to buy the entire GH line in one go. Plus I imagine shipping would be exceptionally expensive.

Thanks jester, I think selling in waves is a great idea. I'll probably just have to sell the cinema sets/vehicles by themselves to maximize profit.

monkey, I really hate to sell these but I have the entire Super Hero Squad set as well and I also collect video games and other Marvel toys so something needed to go. I'm running out of room and all this stuff is just sitting in boxes in the storage room.

I say split it into movie lots.
If you were to open them all and sell them as a huge loose lot you would not only save on shipping charges but would get a ice chunk of change off of ebay. If you were to sell them by movie lots I would be interested in the original trilogy figures.

No I'm not at all. I collected all of these over the last few years and now I just want to get as much back as possible to put into my other collections. I mainly paid retail for all of them so I know some will fetch less than that while others will fetch more.

I havent really thought about an exact price I want for all of it but roughly $4-$6 a piece for the 2 packs and $20-$30 for the cinema sets/vehicles.

With 84 2 packs and 25 cinema sets/vehicles that should net around $1000 when all is said and done. Of course, i'll be losing money since I paid around $7/$8 a piece for the 2 packs but like i said, this is just to unload my collection and put it into another one, not to make money.

My prices were just ballpark. I know the Falcons and the single packs are worth a bit more. Some of the 2 packs are also worth over $10, and some of the cinema sets/vehicles are worth over $35. I'm just averaging everything out.
