Actually, let me correct myself. The ones that say "blue card" are really Purple cards. I had forgot about the actual blue card ones. Just got into these fairly recently.

My friend's kid has a gigantic collection of these. They're all loose, and he plays with them like crazy.

It amazes me how many figures they've made in this line. Including some pretty obscure ones.

Yeah, I got real lucky and found Orion, Shining Knight, Wonder Woman with Lasso, Lex Luthor and Batman for $2.49 apiece at Fred Meyers, which got me started on em. Now I'm spltitng my funds between them, SHS, Transformers Real Gear Robots, Star Wars Transformers, Pixar Cars and Marvel Legends.

Stil waiting on the pre order. I had a chance to order the Big Barda/Deadshot 3 pack and chose the Vigilante/Obsidian/Braniac one instead. Now the Big Barda one is sold out, and they're taking pre orders of the one I ordered again. Anyway, I think I'm going to preorder a couple more 3 packs from there, the Aquaman/Parasite/Stargirl and the one with Fire/Ice/Green Lantern. I might also order the Elongnated Man and Blue Devil off another site, while I still can. Shits going for too much money on most sites now. By the way, at BBTS, even though they're obviously out, they have the price for Beat/Ice Man SHS 2 pack set at $65.00!!!

I pre-ordered the Parasite/Star Girl/Aquaman and the Green Lantern/Firs/Ice 3 packs from BBTS. Still waiting on the Obsidian/Braniac/Vigilante 3 pack from them.

I stopped by Target today, and was pleasantly surprised at what they had. I picked up a Purple Card Elongnated Man, (one of the MAIN ones I wanted) as well as a Black Canary/Joker/Batman 3 pack.

I also picked up an Apocalypse/Beast and Ultimate Ironman/Giant Man pack.

In JLU news

In the Toy Fare 128 issue we learned:

Toyfare Magazine #128 will be hitting comic shops this week and the big news contained within is Mattel’s plans for JLU in 2008. AFI’s good friend Pierre "Airmax" Kalenzaga caught an advance look at the issue and reports that among other things, JLU will be exclusive to Target stores starting this summer, and will have at least 13 new characters this year along with some fan-requested repaints and redecos in the fall.The long-awaited figure of The Question will be among them. There will also be a new 6-pack featuring Superman, Darkseid, and Mister Miracle along with all new figures Mantis, Forager, and Lashina!

Mattel’s ToyGuru teases us even further; "The 13 figures for the fall does not count Lashina, Forager or Mantis.It does count Vic [Sage] though. So 12 more figure are left to be revealed.(and that also does not count repaints or re-releases (like Superman in the Apokolips pack or this really cool repaint of we did in his look from the comic books." Looking further down the road, 2009 will see characters that were not on JLU along with the possibility of characters from former Timm-verse shows such as Batman: The Animated Series. All in all, there looks to be good times ahead for JLU fans! Now go run to your comic shop this Wednesday and grab the new Toyfare to see pics of the JLU Apokalips 6-Pack!

So glad everyone is happy with the news! Can't tell you all how long we have wanted to announce new JLU. Since getting the full DC license last year we had to reshuffle around a lot of resources but JLU is back baby, now branded as a "Collector's Series".

The 13 figures for the fall does not count Lashina, Forager or Mantis. It does count Vic though. So 12 more figure are left to be revealed. (and that also does not count repaints or re-releases (like Superman in the Apokolips pack or this really cool repaint of <NAME> we did in his <DESCRIPTION WITHHELD) look from the comic books.

And the Darkseid in the Attack from Apokolips pack (yup, the 6 packs have cool names now) is not the version from "Alive". We looked into doing this version but it required quite a few parts. We thought spending that money on The Question's coat was a better idea.

Also, the packaging is going to be fantastic as well. This was truly a labor of love by folks at Mattel, DC and Warner Brothers who are all huge fans of the show. And from what it sounds like already, fans are going to be very happy.

We will not be showing JLU figures at Toy Fair for exactly the reasons mentioned in this thread, the line is a Target exclusive and the goal of Toy Fair is to show product that all retailers can order. The Fall 2008 JLU line will be revealed to the public at NY Comic Con in April and at Comic Con San Diego in July. I can't wait to show these off!

Yeah, I read that articlel in the Toyfare. I have been wanting a Mantis figure BAD, so I'm psyched about that. The thing is, I guess DC didn't have exclusive rights to Captain Atom or Blue Beetle, so that's whay they haven't made those yet. I guess they did get the rights though, so they will be making them, which is good since that's like 2 of my favorite characters in the DC universe.
