I was thinking of buying it and making a cast if it went for around $60 or so, but $225 is way too much for something that has a decent chance of getting released next year for the new Spider man movie.

That is most interesting, but it seems a touch early for this kind of stuff to be getting leaked, but there's no way someone just "found" that laying around in such good shape.

That Kraven was actually posted along with the other prototypes from Spidey Wave 5. The guy had Kraven, Vulture, Venom (hunched), and Sandman prototypes. 10-1 the seller was sitting on them. Who knows, though?

Yeah, I looked through the seller's other auctions - they have a lot of weird, older stuff that I wouldn't expect to see.

I am getting really interested in this subject ... I have never seen a GH prototype for a figure that was never released ... so I am asking if anyone knows the process Hasbro goes through from start to finish? We have seen artwork and designs of figures not released but what are the stages? I am thinking ...
Hasbro puts design for a list of figures out to tender Artists either freelance or Hasbro employees submit designs Hasbro decides on which ones to sculpt Figures are sculpted ... where and by whom? Decisions made on which to be mass produced Sculpts are sent to Asia to be mass produced Packaging artwork is completed
Anyone have any insight?

I would say they would do it like this: - draw sketches -either by hasbro employees or outside artist -approve the sketches -enter the sketches into a program to get a 3D image -send image to either outside artist to sculpt or hasbro employees to sculpt.. might even have them sculpt it in the factory in china -send sculpt to factory -factory put sculpt in wax if not sculpted in wax (If sculpted in wax probably skip to the step where factory puts it into plastic) -factory either sends wax figure or images to hasbro -hasbro fixes wax or makes any changes(if images sent to hasbro they mark changes on images and figures fixed in china) -factory puts figure into plastic (like kraven above) and sends to hasbro -hasbro approves or makes changes and asks for painted prototype -painted prototype sent, hasbro approves or fixes -figure finalized and put into production
I would say packaging is done in another department.. maybe marketing? i have no idea about the packaging design/process

do you think it is possible that there are any GH's that made it to the prototype stage but not into final production like say a Hepzibah? Has anyone seen any?

I havent seen any and personally dont think there are. everything hasbro announced got made.. so basically if there were not many would know about it since they werent announced. It could be possible though.
