I just recently found this forum and was amazed at the talent that resided here. I have recently bought my 2.5 yr old a bunch of SHS and wanted to try my hand at customizing. Figured I'd start off slowly with a basic Road Block CH conversion into Luke Cage SHS. Let me know your thoughts, hints, and tricks! Thanks in advance! Attachments:

That's a great first custom. Looks like you have the de-construction, sculpting, and painting down.
If you want to re-position things like hands/wrists, you can cut them with an exacto, drill a pilot hole (the same diameter as the screw) in arm and wrist, cut off a screw to size with bolt cutters, and then reattach the hand with the piece of screw -- that makes a much stronger connection then glue.
I have a Roadblock coming in the mail to turn into Luke myself, though I haven't decided which versin of him to make yet.

I am so honored by your responses! Thanks a bunch for your input! I so respect and appreciate the responses from talents like yours!
I did attempt a hand replacement on this toon, but only having this toon to mess with I just turned the hand 180 and glued it back in.
After seeing how much fun it was to customize the SHS toon, I am brain storming for more and more new toons! I guess the problem I have at this time is getting the fodder to go to town. I hate paying more than $2 per toon.
