Happy Holidays........


I have a few things that I would like to share with everyone. First things first, THANK YOU for the comments, the views (14,563) and the motorization to help me keep making Super Hero Customs......Marvel or DC figures. I've had a great time over the pass 3-4 years making customs, it has gotten me thru some HARD times within my life. Having a hobby that you love to do (but sometimes keeps me up at nights), hopefully inspires others or helps someone "think-outside-the-box" for their own customs......is a great feeling.

Soon, I'll be posting my annual end of the year pictures of all the figures/play-sets/vehicles that I completed this year. As I was looking back, I realized that I jumped around a lot.....from Marvel to DC / Super Hero Squad to ImagiNext size figures and so on. So I'm going to give myself a schedule to follow next year (yup a NEW YEARS Resolution) and see how long that last (lol)

My draft SCHEDULE for 2016:

January, March, May, July, September, November
Style/Size - Super Hero Squad / Action League
Company - Marvel & DC (one set from each company)

February, April, June, August, October, December
Style/Size - Playskool / ImagiNext
Company - Marvel & DC (one set from each company)

........I'm going to try and keep this up for the entire year. I have so many characters on my "to-do-list" that coming up with a project for each month WONT be an issue!! The only thing that will be an issue is how many figures that I can complete within that month. I normally don't do small.....I might have a project that only has 2x figures starting out but by the time I'm done, I have 8x customs & a play-set in front of me (like what I'm working on now)

So the NEW YEAR is upon us......less than 24hrs now !!!

I may have had to large of an ambition for my end of the year project. I started out with wanting to complete 2x custom sets (CHECKMATE / SKRULLS).....you know, 1x from each comic company. My DC set was 8x figures/1x play-set and my Marvel set was only 3x figures.......well that didn't happen (lol)

I realized after Christmas that I wasn't going to make my deadline of DEC 31st with both sets.....so I did the most logical thing, I asked my kids !! Both of them wanted to see the play-set (and my son loves DC)....so the DC set it is.

(NOTE to self......I need to buy more paint)

......I created all 8x figures/and the play-set and realized (again) that I don't have enough paint to do all 8x figures. Well then I had to cut a few figures from the list but I did add something pretty cool to the play-set......issue is I cant get the CAMERA to capture it !!!!

The play-set and 3x of the figures GLOW-N-THE-DARK but I'm unable to show you.....sorry. I've taken the pictures but haven't created the "recipe" slides yet, so you have to settle for a sneak preview for now

Nice! Yeah no idea who the are, but very cool. Like the use of Dani Burns. Makes me want to think about using her in the future. I know i ask this once a year, but what paints are you using? And what did you use for the OMAC mohawkes? is it simple sculpt or? We're going to make a Yandu and need to find something to make his mohawk stand up. And that will also withstand the toddler's play habits.

I use Schmincke: PRIMAcryl, I would buy them from the local craft shop in Germany. NOW I'm about out and the only place that I can find them is Amazon but the good thing is....its about the same price ($10-$13 a 60ml tub)

The mohawke thingy on OMAC Prime came from a Playmobil figure (one of the knights I think). The other two are the "heads" of the toy figure that you can buy at the store

Those are from a Barbie bedroom set.......they were the best thing for me to use

Dude, you KILLED it! I've thought about making those War Skrulls, and yours look phenomenal!

And your custom cityscape is really neat too! It must have taken some time but boy is it worth it!
