I've always liked the Great Adventures stuff for accessories for the SHS. In fact I have the Lion Castle from the same series that could very easily be painted to become Black Panthers Wakandian fortress.
I Also picked up the Imaginext Safari Plane and now Indiana Jones makes good his escape. Perfect fit.
I helps me justify buying these, that my daughters like playing with the knights.

I feel awful for not doing much work on this lately. I got a job, moved for the summer, moved again in August, then moved back home for a week before moving back to school for my last year.
It's been a tad hectic.

Can't wait to see this, I have a half finished castle, and am considering making a Helicarrier out of an old Navy Aircraft Carrier I have somewhere. It will be interesting to see/steal some of your ideas.

I bought one of those Fisher Price pirate ships thinking I could make a Helicarrier out of that too. Any ideas for the turbines / props?

Or buy some cheap small hand-held fans. I found a couple at Walmart that worked perfectly for like $2.

JG: Have you / were you going to remove the green rocks base from the castle to re-paint? I finally got one today and when I flipped it over and saw those clip thingees I thought it possible, but thought they might break too.
Also, have you tried removing any of the stickers? First one I tried left "sticker goo" that looks kinda crappy.

floridaboy: Sticker glue is easily dissolved either with acetone (Nail Polish remover) or lighter fluid. Just put a bit on a q-tip and rub it in circular motions on the affected area, and once it dissolves get a damp cloth and wipe it clean. Easy peazy!

I've destickered mine and taken the whole thing apart. The main door has been repainted and all the banners are now green and gold.
I plan on repainting the entire exterior eventually, but I'm at school and have no time. to move forward.
It takes forever to take the damn thing apart, but mine didn't break when I finally did. Have a screw driver ready to take the castle itself apart.

Guys: With these plastic playsets, do you have to prime it before painting? Or rough them up a bit with sandpaper maybe? Has anyone tried spray paint for larger surface areas? I'm practicing on a FP doll house that hopefully will make a nice New Avengers hangout.
