Any difference with newer Galactic Heroes?

So I just started collecting the Marvel Superhero Squad figures and I was going to stay strictly with Marvel until I found the Galactic Heroes stocking stuffers at a good price.

I didn't realize that these figures were made out of a soft material with no articulation. (The stormtrooper dated 2001). I was just wondering if the newer versions have changed and are made of the same harder material that the Marvel ones are made out of and feature more articulation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For some reason the Stormtroopers have been VERY soft. I can't recall any other GH's that have been that rubbery. The Battle Droids are pretty soft but that seems to be more about their thin appendages than the plastic used. Everyone else seems to be on the "Marvel" level of sturdiness.
