*Always feel free to comment on figures. Positive AND Critical feedback is appreciated!*
Sorry for any horrendous spelling errors, grammar errors, and missing words.
So it looks like the things to do is make a thread for all my customs. So here it is. I think i'm going to try to post them in the order that i did them... if i can remember what order i did them in.
So this was my first. I just hated the fact the Deadpool had two swords in his hands and 2 swords on his back... and no gun. So i put the Punisher's hand on him. Then about 4 months later they revealed their 2nd take on Deadpool, and sure enough, it looked alot like mine. I never paint sealed this one. I probably should have. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Wish i had practiced dremeling more before hand. I was trying to take off the original paint, and the polisher tool just ground up large grooves in it. they caused werid paint edges. I've sense clean those edges up (mostly) and am using it for a Marvel now Deadpool.
Why make the Delta Squad Republic Commandos and only make 2 of them. So i made the others. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Wish i had thought to use nail polish remover to get rid of the original paint instead of painting over it in white. They're not bad, but could have been better.
For that matter, why not add Omega Squad. For this one i moved around some pieces. Darman now has a Thermal Detonator in his hand. Sorry for the poor image quality. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Too Shiney! they have since faded. Yaaa!
Kal Skirata is one of the best parts of the Republic Commando series, so i took some extra Mandalorians and made him too.
Well i had the extra parts so i made Walon Vau too.
Oh look another Obi-Won figures. Sure as hell don't need 2 of these. And that's how i got Bardan Jusik, the Jedi turned Mandalorian. This was my first time doing any sort of sculpting. I used Milliput since i can't find Apoxie Sculpt anywhere in Albuquerque. Also some how cleaning rotated his Lightsaber arm so it wouldn't hit him in the head. I still really want a helmet for him. DAF's Critical Thoughts: I'm still happy with how he turned out but i could totally rock him if i tried making him now. Give him some smoother looking armor. it looks a little bumpy to me.
More Obi-Won? Not Happening. Let's make A'Sharad Hett who would later become Darth Krayt. Some one saw my design and made a much better one where the wrapped sleeves didn't look so bad. We really should have done a 2 lights Anakin into this character. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Still hate his sleeves. You can see someone else's better version HERE!
Guess who got changed into someone else! General Arligan Zey, another random character from the Republic Commando Series. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Should have dry brushed the grey in. Going to try it with a Thunderbolts Punisher.
Obi Won isn't a Star Fighter Pilot! He didn't deserve his own ship, let alone 2! Plus i really like Plo Koon. So i did a custom paint job. This is also the same paint job that Anakin used in the Tartakovsky Carton Clone Wars, but they later Retconned it as a design that Plo Koon also used. I probably should have spray painted it white and then painted, but instead I used paints for the whole thing. I didn't know what color to paint the R2/4 unit so i just left him that color.
If you look really hard you can see Plo Koon sitting in there. They really made this toy way toO tall because all off the GH figures are too short fit in it.
Hardcase, Jesse and Kix from the Clone Wars Season 2 episode "The Deserter". Great Episode.
Deadpool's X-Force Outfit
I wanted Deadpool in a suit. Turns out i now had a cool place to put my extra Deadpool Marvel Legends maskless head.
Taskmaster's Udon costume looks sooo much cooler then his Skeletor look. DAF's Critical Thoughts: I still want to replace his shield with a clear pink plastic. Maybe hot glue from a hobby store. He could also probaly benefit from some better sanding and a cleaner paint job.
My son really wanted the Ultimate Spider-Man Show version of Luke Cage, but i couldn't figure a way to do it. And Tombstone was cheaper then another Roadblock and Indian German Soldier body like 2count did. So i went with 70s Power Man instead. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Paint lines on his legs bug me. May have to fix those. Also his chains are kinda weird and bumpy. They were too rushed as my milliput was hardening.
Who he really wanted was a Ava Ayala White Tiger from that show. I had an extra Wonderwoman so it worked out. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Dremeling left too ridged of lines. should have sanded them smoother. I HATE EYES! i have such a hard time getting them symmetrical.
So right now i'm on a "I want every Deadpool Costume" kick. Deathmask and the time Wade stole Tony's Armor were the 2 easist repaints so they got done first. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Should have put a beer bottle in his hand.
The Deadpool Corps was a must so i started with Dogpool and Lady Deadpool. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Paint lines on her chest should have been a little cleaner. just a tad.
I really like Willace Porticio's original design for Kidpool and i was kinda bummed when Liefeld and everyone else constantly redid his costume. That and this costume design fit the best with the Young Boba Fett figure i made him out of. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Tooo Shiney! that's all. love him other then that.
Probably my favorite Deadpool costume, mainly cause it made him look a lot less like Spider-Man, I converted gi joe combat heroes Snake Eyes into the Weapon X inverse colors costume Deadpool wore when he rejoined Weapon X. DAF's Critical Thoughts: Groing tired of unsymmetrical eyes, i purposely miss sized them to show expression. wish i would have sculpted the eyebrow to match. or maybe put the larger eye on the other side.
More Deadpools to come!
